Cohere Health is illuminating healthcare for patients, their doctors, and all those who are important in a patient’s healthcare experience, both in and out of the doctors office.  Founded in August, 2019, we are obsessed with eliminating wasteful friction patients and doctors experience in areas that have nothing to do with health and treatment, particularly for diagnoses that require expensive procedures or medications.  To that end, we build software that is expressly designed to ensure the appropriate plan of care is understood and expeditiously approved, so that patients and doctors can focus on health, rather than payment or administrative hassles.

Opportunity Overview:

This is a great opportunity for an outstanding analyst to go in-house at a Series B digital health company and learn what it takes to show the value of our products and services.  You will work closely with analytics leadership, product, clinical and engineering to support decision-making, and will dig into a wide range of strategic, product, and clinical problems.  The work will be fast-paced and project-based, with evolving needs - requiring scrappiness, flexibility, curiosity, and grace under pressure.  Your work will enable Cohere to make the right investments in a critical stage for our company.  

This role offers the potential to grow at Cohere in analytics, or potentially move into other areas such as data science, operations or product . You will contribute to healthcare analytics to meet quality, cost and service objectives with your knowledge of statistical analysis including clinical and financial risk tracking, models to impact experience, cost, quality, and opportunity analysis. What you will do:

• Be responsible for adhoc analysis for both internal and external clients
• Understand Cohere’s value proposition to clients and providers in order to accurately tell the story using data
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Service Operations, Provider Relations, Business Development along with other workstreams to understand use cases and deliver actionable analysis
• Identify data trends proactively and make actionable recommendations based on findings
• Make recommendations to workstream leadership based on identified trends
• Be a subject matter expert in Cohere’s internal data in order to inform and drive business decisions in all workstreams

Your Background & Requirements:

• At least 2 years analytical/reporting experience, preferably at a healthcare company or allied health organization
• Excellent communicator
• Subject matter expert in data-preferably related to healthcare (Medical Claims, Pharmacy Claims Eligibility, CPT, ICD, LOINC, etc)
• Proficient in, Python, R, SQL, Excel, and other common analytic/ data tools-knowledge of BI tool preferred
• Experience joining multiple data sources to create comprehensive analysis
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM, public health, finance, economics, or other related field
