Cohere Health is illuminating healthcare for patients, their doctors, and all those who are important in a patient’s healthcare experience, both in and out of the doctors office.  Founded in August, 2019, we are obsessed with eliminating wasteful friction patients and doctors experience in areas that have nothing to do with health and treatment, particularly for diagnoses that require expensive procedures or medications.  To that end, we build software that is expressly designed to ensure the appropriate plan of care is understood and expeditiously approved, so that patients and doctors can focus on health, rather than payment or administrative hassles.

We are looking for a dynamic VP of Analytics to take our growth to the next level.  Ultimately, your work will directly impact the experience and care that patients receive when they need help the most. 

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this is a critical role in a Series A company and an uncommon opportunity to build analytics products that will rapidly scale.  The impact, experience, and professional growth over the next few years will be unmatched in healthcare.

What you will do:

• Define analytics vision and strategy, working closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical, Growth, and leadership teams.  Deeply understand the business to guide decisions on analytic priorities
• Deliver results by defining Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), driving clarity and alignment across the team and company, and empowering and coaching teams to perform
• Own Analytics P+L
• Structure and manage the analytics team to meet the needs of the business, including population health analytics, program analytics and evaluation, operational analytics, and reporting/data visualization (standard and ad hoc).  Partner closely with Engineering on data science initiatives
• Ensure the quality of the team’s deliverables, including bringing deep technical expertise to guide the team on methodologies, model development, and coding
• Partner with Product, Growth, and Clinical teams to define and deliver analytic products 
• Partner with Engineering to set up and scale data and analytics infrastructure and governance that supports a results-driven, high growth business

• Represent Cohere with external audiences including customers, prospects, conferences

Your background:

• Passionate about improving the U.S. healthcare system and helping ensure every patient receives the best care possible.  
• Healthcare domain experience working with administrative, clinical, patient-reported, and social determinant data
• Product management of analytics and data-driven products a plus
• Deep expertise in clinical outcome methodologies, healthcare provider and member analytics
• Exceptional technical competency across statistical techniques, predictive modeling, ML/data science methodologies, and data visualization
• Track record of delivering results as an analytics leader managing large teams to deliver in high-pressure, fast-moving environments
• 10+ years of experience in analytics 
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Statistics or other relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
