Data Marketing Analyst - Remote

Remote, Toronto, ON

Tucows (NASDAQ:TCX, TSX:TC) is on a mission to make the Internet better by providing people everywhere with online access to be empowered to make individual contributions. As a company, we embrace a people-first philosophy that is rooted in respect, trust, and understanding to encourage freedom, inspire innovation, and promote inclusivity; creating an environment for everyone to thrive!

Tucows has been working on the Internet since the days when people unironically called it the Information Superhighway. We are a 25-year-old global start-up embracing agility and creativity in order to continually seize opportunity for growth. We have evolved from a start-up domain service provider to becoming the second-largest domain wholesaler in the world while expanding our business with Ting, an Internet services company partnering with towns and cities to change what customers expect from their Internet Service Provider. We are building fiber networks across the US and have already launched Gigabit speed service in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Colorado, Idaho and California, laying the groundwork for rapid scale.

Our growth has been incredible, smart, and measured, built on a solid technical and financial foundation. We have doubled our workforce in the last 4 years and continue in rapid expansion mode, providing services to millions of customers around the world.

Ting Mobile is giving Americans the opportunity to choose smarter when it comes to mobile. That means choosing a provider with the same coverage as the big guys (in fact, we run on their networks), superior on-shore customer support and, for a lot less money.

Ting Mobile is managed by Tucows, a nearly $1 Billion dollar market cap public company that has been around since the earliest days of the Internet. Ting began as a cell phone service in the US nine years ago. In 2020, the Ting customer base was acquired by DISH, a Denver, Colorado headquartered satellite communications company that will be rolling out its own nationwide mobile network across the US in the next few years. Until their network is ready, they’re focused on building and acquiring customers on both the Ting Mobile and Boost Mobile brands they operate.

You'll be joining a team passionate about acquiring new customers for Ting Mobile. We’re the marketing team, and we work strategically to build and deliver marketing programs, campaigns and sponsorships that help bring people in through our front door. We are currently measuring the success of these channels through Google Analytics, our back-end database and reporting tools like Looker.

That’s where you come in!
It's also a completely remote opportunity within Canada and USA.

See, while we have a reasonable understanding of what drives the needle for us, there is still so much that we are not seeing in our reporting. There are gaps in attribution that we would like to unpack, more insight we would like to glean from our conversion funnel and more rigorous sets of reports for us to look at consistently to help identify where new opportunities exist. We need someone to help identify, optimize and scale winning tactics and inform future decisions as we scale and optimize our channel efforts.
