Job Description:

The opportunity: 

In this role, you will use your product management skills and knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning to develop and deliver the strategy and roadmap for the centralized products and services offered by our Data Science and Machine Learning team. This team powers both our customer-facing products and internal teams and stakeholders through a platform which includes feature engineering, model training and serving, inferred attributes, and latent representations.  You will be a subject matter expert on all AI/ML products and services offered by the team and will communicate and educate teams on how to leverage them. You will partner with a diverse set of stakeholders and technical leaders to deliver powerful ML-driven solutions that enable us to deliver the most effective path for our customers to develop technology skills.

What you’ll do:

  • You will partner with product teams and leaders across the organization to discover opportunities to scale the impact of Data Science and Machine Learning and prioritize solutions that enable multiple product teams with new capabilities to create smart experiences.

  • You will work with Data Science & Machine Learning leadership to develop the strategy and roadmap for the team.

  • You will own the end-to-end delivery of internal-facing Data Science & Machine Learning products from conception to prototyping, testing, deploying, & impact measurement, working closely with the team to define, prioritize, and deliver outcomes.

  • You will own the development and tracking of the team’s OKRs.

  • You will be a subject matter expert on all AI/ML assets produced by the team and communicate and educate teams on how to leverage them.

  • You will define and analyze metrics to track the performance and impact of our Data Science and Machine Learning products.

  • You will own Data Science and Machine Learning documentation and team publications, with contributions from team members.

  • You will lead discovery and execution of special projects for Machine Learning Innovation on an ad hoc basis.

Experience you’ll need:

  • 3+ years of product management experience ideally in a Data Science, AI / ML, data analytics or similar product role. Even better if you have experience building ML-based products to solve large-scale problems. At a minimum you should have a strong understanding of the Machine Learning model lifecycle  and the tools and frameworks used to deliver Machine Learning products.

  • Deep knowledge and demonstrated application of product management methodologies and best practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct customer interviews, identify pain-points, and determine if and how Data Science and Machine Learning can solve the problem.

  • Experience building a product roadmap and working with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver measurable impact.

  • Track record of clearly defining and measuring what success looks like.

  • Experience in guiding rapid iterative product development and making product decisions based on A/B testing and experimentation.

  • Demonstrated ability to both understand business needs and the underpinnings of our product vision, as well as effectively communicate with engineers and data scientists.

  • Proven success delivering clear communications and presentations to senior leaders and partners; serving as a compelling, high-impact storyteller.

  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative or technology domain (CS or Data Science degree helpful).
