Job Description:

As a Marketing Analyst at Pluralsight, your work will strengthen Pluralsight’s position as the leader in technology workforce development! You will be the rockstar who drives analysis and data visualization methodologies, digging deep into data for Pluralsight and assessing many aspects of our B2B and B2C marketing efforts, with an added focus on web and digital marketing. We have a significant emphasis on our web presence which has a strong correlation with revenue impact; making your work and the insights you gather and present both impactful and high-visibility within the organization!

You possess a unique blend of expertise in data-driven analysis, data storytelling, and business communication. You have hands-on experience in Tableau and a strong understanding of analytics concepts, including data capture methodologies and visualization best practices. You will play a pivotal role ensuring that we are identifying all the important data aggregation points, and collecting relevant data to make informed business decisions. You are also expected to have good SQL skills and experience with presentations / storytelling.

This is a cross-collaborative role that heavily relies on your ability to find, articulate and communicate trends and help our marketing org better understand web and eCommerce insights.The role will enable broad exposure to analytics and planning work. What you’ll do:

  • Engage marketing stakeholders to understand their reporting and analysis needs and recommend the appropriate analytical methodology.

  • Enable business case solutions and reporting practices that facilitate simple, consistent, and efficient updates to marketing teams.

  • Assist in development, management, and analysis of: reports and dashboards in Tableau, analytics logic, quick querying, and data imports from multiple systems, among others.

  • Collaborate with team members to drive data visualization best practices and streamline our Tableau reporting portfolio.

  • Dig into data and raw information, discover trends and patterns, and extract and present valuable business insights that enable our marketers to make timely decisions to achieve their business objectives.

  • Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of data products and optimized data retrieval for visualizations. Facilitate open communication channels with data engineers to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and availability for end-users.

  • Optimize analysis methods and internal processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of our work.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data visualization, and evaluate new tools and techniques to improve our capabilities.

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Ability to work with large amounts of data to analyze and synthesize information to see the ‘bigger picture’. Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills using data analysis and utilizing any combination of analytics tools.

  • Communicating complex data and its implications to non-technical audiences. Experienced at data storytelling using PowerPoint or similar presentation software.

  • Can move fast, be agile, and operate with a growth mindset; must have effective organizational, time-management, and good attention to detail skills

  • Team player, ability to prioritize team's greater vision and align with all members as one team. The position will be working for a team that’s mostly remote.

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred. 

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years post-undergrad data analyst experience in web/eCommerce analytics, marketing analytics, business analysis, sales or revenue operations, financial analysis, or similar.

  • Advanced experience using Tableau or similar visualization tools to deliver intuitive insights that improve stakeholder efficiency and effectiveness in business performance monitoring and decision making. Tableau experience preferred.

  • Moderate to strong experience in SQL; able to write complex join, union, pivot, common table expression query statements for calculations in SQL, and moderate level of proficiency in Excel or gSheet is required. 

Travel Requirements:

While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.

Work is performed in an office (or home office) environment and requires the ability to operate office equipment and keyboards. Sedentary work. Repetitive work. The annual US base salary range for this role is $84,900- $104,800 USD. Pluralsight's pay ranges vary based on work location. Talent Acquisition can share more detail during the hiring process when applicable. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. In addition to the base salary, this role may also be eligible for benefits and bonuses.
