The Who, What, Why and Where

Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking a Data Scientist to be an individual contributor to the analytics team for the NAMER (North America) finance team. The person in this role will be working with cross-functional partners in developing topline metrics ; performing exploratory analysis on customer LTV, sales productivity, quantifying impacts for any product improvement or launch; and build & own analytical frameworks that guide the financial roadmap. 

Who?

More specifically, we are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience: 

  • BS/MS/PhD in a quantitative discipline: statistics, operations research, computer science, informatics, engineering, applied mathematics, economics, etc.
  • Experience building data sets, pipelines, and models in Data warehouse
  • 4+ years of experience working in product/finance analytics or data science 
  • 2+ years of experience with metrics, A/B testing and experimentation
  • Expert level SQL and Python skills and dashboarding skills in tools like Looker or Tableau
  • Familiarity with statistical modeling and statistical programing languages like Python or R 
  • Excellent communications skills, with the ability to synthesize, simplify and explain complex problems to different types of audience, including executives

  • WRITE IT DOWN: Develop insights and recommendations through exploratory analysis, hypothesis testing, analyzing results from experimentation, and building models

  • WEAR THE CUSTOMER’S SHOES: Define and monitor key metrics and market intelligence to derive insights and identify opportunities for existing and evolving products.

Colorado applicants: 

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $99,360 - $136,620
  • Non-Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
