Thyme Care is an oncology digital health start-up that’s focused on radically improving the cancer experience with early and ongoing intervention. We help patients, caregivers, clinicians, health plans, and employers by coordinating integrated care that leads to better results, lower costs, and aligned incentives. Every Thyme Care member is assigned a personalized team of physician-guided oncology nurses and resource specialists who provide education, guidance, and advocacy as they navigate the complex healthcare system. We facilitate quick access to quality resources and high-value care, coordinating directly with providers and offering support every step of the way. Our high-touch, tech-enabled model generates actionable insights that allow us to identify at-risk members earlier and offer them the most relevant support based on where they are in their cancer journey—closing gaps in care and eliminating excess spend.

Your Role:

As a Product Analytics Engineer at Thyme Care, you will be part of a tech team that is scaling quickly. Your focus in the role will be to deliver insights that guide the development of our core product: Thyme Box, our care navigation platform. You will also direct Thyme Care’s data-driven growth by working alongside our commercial teams as we build and launch our go-to-market strategies.

After three months on the job you will:

  • Understand our data ecosystem and workflows.
  • Translate data generated by our applications to derive insights and personalized interventions for our members.
  • Optimize our outreaches and improve the effectiveness of our care team.
  • Partner with our Clinical team to formulate metrics, measure quality and efficiency of our services, and make recommendations to our Product and Design teams for continuous iteration.
  • Build and refactor pipelines in our data warehouse for Thyme Box and other external data sources.
  • Build visualizations and share your analyses with the Product, Clinical, and Operations teams.

After six months you will:

  • Work closely with our Product, Clinical, and Operations teams to calculate, track, and visualize the metrics  most critical to our business.
  • Partner with our commercial teams to refine our data-driven growth and strategies.
  • Be a data model subject matter expert and spokesperson through code reviews, pairing, and training.
  • Empower end users to answer their own questions by enhancing our data marts and educating on our data visualization platforms.

What leads to success:

  • Experience. You aren’t new to the data realm and have potentially worn multiple hats as a Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, or a Data Scientist. You must be an expert in SQL, and it will be helpful to have some experience working with dbt and python.
  • Net-new development. You've built and deployed impactful, production-ready data pipelines and analytics data marts.
  • Curiosity. You’re driven to understand how things work and love sharing that knowledge with others.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. You have a proven track record of success within scaling businesses, fast-paced environments, and ambitious startups. You know how to chart a course through ambiguous challenges.

Patient-first approach. You’re personally motivated by our mission to create a better cancer journey for all and excited by the tech we are building. You have a passion for seeing your work in action to solve meaningful problems.

We recognize a history of inequality in health care. We’re here to challenge these systems with a culture of inclusion through the care we give and the company we build. We embrace and celebrate a diversity of perspectives in reflection of our members and the patients our products serve. We are an equal opportunity employer.
