POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Senior VP of Data & Analytics, the Director of Analytic Operations will be primarily responsible for the delivery of pharmacy claims-based analytics, particularly analyzing pharmacy benefit billing claims data for accuracy and contractual compliance.  The Director will lead the analytics team that is responsible for configuring and analyzing the results from a claims review system for a portfolio of clients, preparing client reports, reconciling system results to PBM results, and creating ad-hoc analytics to further analyze the data to answer questions and model scenarios. The Director of Analytic Operations will lead this team, develop expertise in the product, and position the team for further success through process improvement initiatives and collaboration with Client Success, Payer Operations, and Development. The ideal candidate will have both the analytical prowess and professional experience to serve as the “spiritual leader” of the TruGuard analytics staff while helping to achieve the company’s overarching business objectives.
 
This team operates in the NYC headquarters, but we are open to US-based candidates who have a strong track record of managing remote teams and the ability to travel every four to six weeks to NYC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage a growing team of analysts including responsibilities for hiring, training, and career development
    • Oversee delivery for hundreds of TruGuard clients, including supervising configuration
    • Drive high standard for quality through QA process an management process
    • Enhance metrics/KPIs used for monitoring status, assessing time to delivery, and assessing process (using SalesForce)
    • Identify process improvement opportunities to improve direct margins
    • Identify platform improvements that will drive improved direct margins, partner with development on the design and testing of these improvements
    • Partner with Payer Operations on efforts to drive more standardized contract language to impact direct margins
    • With the Unified Data Platform (UDP) development team and the Client Success team, form a conversion strategy to move TruGuard Analytics to the new UDP-based platform
    • Develop expertise in the TruGuard system, over time being able to contribute to QC efforts of senior analysts during peak-cycle times

QUALIFICATIONS

    • 4-6 years experience performing healthcare analyses  
    • 4-6 years management experience of an operational health care analytics team
    • Proven expertise in process improvement initiatives in an operational health care analytics setting
    • Experience in developing and monitoring KPIs
    • Proven collaboration skills with development and client success teams
    • Experience in partnering with analysts on their career development
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated project planning/time management skills
    • Demonstrated success managing remote teams if not based in NYC
