Position Summary
 
Reporting to the Vice President of TruGuard Analytics, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for delivering pharmacy claims-based analytics, particularly analyzing pharmacy benefit billing claims data for accuracy and contractual compliance.  The Lead will mentor, train, and guide the workflow of 3-6 analysts in addition to owning their own book of clients and will contribute to the team’s overall growth and efficiency through their expertise in the product, positioning the team for further success through process improvement initiatives and collaboration with Client Success, Product, and other internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mentoring and developing the skills of team members and an interest in building new processes and efficiencies in a rapidly growing business.  


RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Strategically manage the report delivery process
    • Coordinate internal company resources to set and meet quality and delivery goals
    • Manage team performance including communicating team vision and goals, setting individual goals and providing formal and informal performance feedback
    • Act as a mentor and guide for team members
    • Meet report delivery deadlines and schedules
    • Interpret clients’ contractual pricing terms and benefit plan details and load these into the claims review system
    • Analyze system results for pricing and contract adherence. Verifying prescription drug discounts and complete end-of-year reconciliations when discrepancies are identified
    • Generate reports containing findings from claims analysis and contract compliance review
    • Produce ad-hoc analyses to support internal and customer requests for data modeling utilizing SQL, Excel, and BI tools
    • Utilize BI tools to analyze data trends
    • Communicate with internal partners and third parties to review contract terms and share findings
    • Manage and document workflow using a project management system (SalesForce)

QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree with a relevant analytical major (Finance, Economics, Math, Health Sciences, or similar) or equivalent work experience
    • At least 3 years of related work experience including 1 year leading a team
    • Experience with healthcare data, particularly pharmacy claims, is a plus
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and demonstrated ability to learn new software applications quickly
    • Advanced Excel skills including data analysis
    • Experience reporting on analytic results containing graphical findings, providing relevant commentary, and presenting analytical findings to non-technical audiences
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated project planning/time management ability and experience managing multiple priorities at once
    • Ability to work in a start-up, fast-paced, high-growth environment
