As our Director of Analytics reporting to our VP of Data & Analytics, you are responsible for leading a team of engineers that build, manage and support the data intelligence and analytics products. You will translate data needs into models and architectures that power business intelligence assets that are used by the business.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Drive the effective realization of our plan to make trusted information readily accessible to the business 
  • Provide technical leadership to drive delivery and execution of business intelligence platform activities (Power BI or similar) 
  • Lead the collaborative efforts to build a new dimensional model constructs in our enterprise data warehouse
  • Build & mentor high-quality engineering teams that deliver high quality, performance solutions to drive business outcomes
  • Define and formalize the processes needed to govern data assets including tables, metrics, KPIs and dashboards
  • Build and maintain a metrics mart, enabling business users to engage certified metrics and dashboards in an intuitive and governed way
  • Engage in cross-functional relationship s with stakeholders in business domains and across functional IT teams - to understand product needs and delivery expectations
  • Balance architectural demands with getting stuff done
  • Practical and pragmatic view of agile data methodology
  • Drive adoption of data products, platforms and assets across the enterprise 
  • In concert with Data Engineering, architect the evolution of our data warehouse and alignment of those data assets with the enterprise BI platform
  • Accelerate the buildout of foundational data capabilities centered around cloud data warehousing, data dev ops, lineage and reporting technologies
  • Collaborate with team members to collect and interpret business requirements into data models and dashboards

  • DBT, dataform or other data modeling & automation layer

  • Comfortable working in a nimble environment
  • Self-motivated and self-managing, with team and task organizational skills
  • Design and architecture experience with BI tools (examples)
  • Build it once, build it right mentality 
  • Demonstrated experience with data modeling and data architecture
  • Prior history of managing and leading a team of data technologists
  • 8+ years experience working with a large-scale data warehouse; preference to experience in a cloud environment
  • 4+ years experience building reports and dashboards in an enterprise data visualization tool: semantic layer / data model layer

Key Areas of Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years in Data, IT, analytics, Business Intelligence or Consulting of related
  • 4+ years of people management experience
