The vision of Level Agency’s Data Operations Team is to build performance marketing data, integration and analytics tools that drive data-driven decisions. The Data Director strives to reach this vision through driving growth opportunities, building innovation capabilities, and championing data throughout the entire Agency.

Our desired candidate is a trusted and highly collaborative thought leader that can work cross-functionally with a variety of people and work styles achieving innovative results. An ideal candidate will have strong logical reasoning skills and business intelligence, as well as have a successful track record of partnering with other agency disciplines to bring complete solutions to clients and internal teams. The salary range for this position is $80 - 120K.

About the Position:

The Data Director will lead the agency’s Data Operations, accountable for strategic direction and oversight of data, analytics, integrations, technology, and media products of the agency.

The position is cross-functional, which includes proactively identifying opportunities, building relationships and solving problems across teams. Success in this position is challenging assumptions, constantly pushing the limits of performance marketing and customer generation, developing ideas that are applied by the company in order to further satisfy the needs and expectations of teammates and clients.

Your Impact:

Data Model Ownership

  • Ensures data tracking standards are met
  • Oversees all of the data source extractions required to build full picture data models for marketing performance
  • Owns data warehouse structure, functions and datamart performance tables

Analytics Oversight, Standards, and Training

  • Evangelizes data and analytics tools as the foundation of data-driven decisions
  • Ensures analytics standards are met on business intelligence tools
  • Build data and analytics literacy across every role of the agency

Build and Grow Data Capabilities

  • Create new organizational capabilities, including technical and people driven, that ensure Level is at the leading edge of marketing data capabilities
  • Apply data science capabilities to performance marketing
  • Experience in marketing, data analysis, data science or related field (required)
  • Deep understanding of significant aspects of technologies, business models, and regulations relevant in the marketing industry
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing channels, their strategic, and tactical impact on marketing and business goals, with an emphasis on increasing client ROI
  • Demonstrated use of scientific method ability to take conceptual hypothesis, run external and internal research and discovery, then pull and analyze necessary data and reports to glean actionable insight from the data in coordination
  • Experience with SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other database systems
  • Experience in PowerBI, QlikSense, Tableau, Google Data Studio, or other business intelligence platforms
  • Experience with ETL / data extraction tools or scripting
  • Experience with marketing tracking implementation including tag management, pixels, utm parameters and attribution
  • Experience in R studio, STATA, SPSS, Python, or other statistical modeling software
  • Experience in managing data integrity and integration setup in SalesForce, Marketo, NetSuite, Zoho, or other CRM systems
