Alice Park – VP, Data & Analytics

Alice is an executive with broad experience building and managing successful data- and analytics-driven teams, strategies and capabilities that enhance customer experiences, drive revenue and enable growth.  Alice joined us from American Express where she, most recently, led the global commercial marketing data capabilities and platform product team. But over her Amex career, has led teams across risk management, rewards & benefits analytics, marketing analytics, and data monetization product development for consumer and B2B portfolios.  Alice has also held positions as Chief of Operations & Product at Archie Group, where she led development of operational strategies, strategic partnerships, and data-driven product suites, and Head of Data Products and Analytics at BDIPlus, where she led advanced analytical solutions and data monetization strategies for clients.

THE POSITION

The Director, Data Science & Customer Analytics role, will report into the VP of Data & Analytics and will be a key senior leader in transforming data & analytics into an enabler for A Place for Mom.  This role will be responsible for developing, standing up and scaling in-market, key initiatives including top-of-funnel lead scoring applications, enhanced treatment and customer nurture strategies, and other use cases that drive increased conversions and valuable family experiences.  This person will also conduct in-depth analysis to understand impact of initiatives, refine model performance and identify additional opportunities for growth.  This person will also develop a high performing, outcome oriented team of diverse talent and is expected to work with complex enterprise-level datasets in a hands-on capacity as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and develop a high performing team of analysts who are highly engaged
  • Collaborate with key business partners to develop, stand-up and scale, in-market, key data-driven initiatives top-of-funnel including lead scoring applications, enhanced treatment and customer nurture strategies, and other use cases that drive increased conversions and valuable family experiences
  • Leverage 1st party and 3rd party data to build predictive machine learning models and conduct analytics to evaluate, qualify, prioritize and determine treatment for leads at the top-of-the sales funnel
  • Own, enhance, and monitor the end-to-end scoring engine capability; including working with product & engineering teams to ensure model build & performance in the production environment, integrations with data sources, the customer journey & sales/CRM systems, enabling testing capabilities, and defining data requirements
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to understand impact of initiatives, refine model performance and identify additional opportunities to increase conversion rate and accelerate growth
  • Design, implement and interpret test and learn experiments
  • Implement robust testing and KPI framework to measure performance and identify opportunities to drive outcomes at profitable economics

Qualifications

  • Experience building successful teams and effectively managing and coaching analytical talent
  • Track record of solving analytical problems creatively, bringing them to market with clear outcomes, and a strong sense of accountability
  • Ability to effectively communicate analytical insights to a non-technical audience; experience communicating with the C-suite and internal/external partners
  • Deep knowledge of statistics
  • 5+ years experience in a hands-on analytics role and 3+ years experience in a leadership role developing relevant strategies or consulting
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Operations Research, or MBA with quantitative undergrad degree
  • Expert SQL and Python, strong proficiency in R; Experience with ML frameworks
  • Experience with Databricks, Tableau, Amplitude, Google Analytics
