Calix cloud and software platforms enable communications service providers, or CSPs, of all sizes to innovate and transform their businesses. Our CSP customers are empowered to utilize real-time data and insights from Calix platforms to simplify their businesses and deliver experiences that excite their subscribers. This enables CSPs to grow their businesses through increased subscriber acquisition, loyalty and revenue, thereby increasing the value of their businesses and contributions to their communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners across the organization to fully define business problems and research questions
  • Partner with product leaders and engineers to understand the product roadmap
  • Collaborate with domain experts to implement and add features to Calix cloud platform
  • Integrates and extracts relevant information from large amounts of both structured and unstructured data to enable analytical solutions
  • Conducts advanced analytics leveraging predictive modeling, machine learning, simulation, optimization and other techniques to deliver insights in Cloud services
  • Supports Subject Matter Experts on efforts to develop scalable, efficient, automated solutions for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation
  • Deploys predictive models and integrating them into business processes and applications
  • Validates and optimizes model performance upon deployment and tracking over time as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, Statistics, or related field
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Proficiency in R, Python or other statistical package
  • Experience in stochastic modeling, machine learning, and other advanced mathematical techniques (e.g., neural nets, simulation, graph analysis)
  • Proficient level of business acumen in the areas of the business operations, industry practices and emerging trends required
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with business partners across the company
  • Knowledge of Telecommunication networks will be a plus
  • Knowledge of Marketing analytics will be a plus

  • This is a remote-based position in the United States or Canada
