The Opportunity at Komodo Health

The Director of Commercial Data Science would partner with the Analytics Consulting team to build the analytic service delivery vision and operating model; gain stakeholder buy-in to the model; scale the team; identify and implement efficiencies for profitability maximization; and lead a team of Data Scientists to execute on the technical delivery aspects of analytic services and measure impact. This is a high growth, high visibility role working with a dynamic and collaborative team of talented analytics practitioners, consultants, and healthcare leaders.

• Gained a deep understanding of the anatomy of Komodo, with a focus on data and products.
• Incorporated data science expertise to guide modeling techniques for addressing customer needs.
• Helped set the strategy and vision as to how we design and deliver analytic solutions.
• Led the team by defining and executing data science initiatives that align with overall business strategy and objectives
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Management, and Program. Management to provide input on project priorities, project estimates, and risk assessment for roadmapping initiatives.

What you bring to Komodo Health:

• Experience managing and developing managers as well as data science teams within a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with a passion for automation and efficiency-driven solutions.
• Familiarity with large-scale data and computational technologies (e.g. Spark, Snowflake)
• Knowledgeable in complex modeling topics, advanced statistics/biostatistics, algorithm design, and familiar with ML software packages.
• Deep understanding of statistical modeling and analytics.
• Experience collaborating with Product Management, Program Management, and Engineering teams to establish a comprehensive roadmap and long-term vision.
• Comfort with complex technical and business problems, with a focus on empowering technical delivery.
• Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and motivate a team
