OpenX is seeking a leader for its Revenue Analytics & Operations team, which partners with OpenX’s commercial teams to provide analytics, insights, and operational support. This person will lead and mentor a team of data analysts and provide thought leadership and direction in reporting as well as identifying and diagnosing performance issues across Buyers, DSPs, Data Partners, and Publishers. Deep knowledge of programmatic advertising and data analysis combined with strong business acumen will be critical to this role. Success will be dependent on the individual’s ability to collaborate and communicate across teams and with executives. Reporting to the VP, Revenue Strategy & Operations, this role is global in scope and ideal for a detail-oriented problem solver who excels at understanding and optimizing complex systems.

Key Responsibilities

    • Lead team of Data Analysts supporting OpenX commercial teams (sales, business development, account management, etc.)
    • Lead the design, implementation and maintenance of reporting tools and dashboards for Operations teams
    • Monitor OpenX marketplace health to quickly identify, diagnose, and triage any issues such as unexpected changes in publisher revenue, or spend from specific DSPs or buyers
    • Design and implement revenue forecasting to drive long-term planning and revenue targets
    • Work collaboratively across organization on key strategic initiatives and data governance
    • Partner with operating teams and other analytics teams to define roles and responsibilities and maintain consistency across analytics teams, avoid duplication of efforts, and ensure the datasets we use to monitor and analyze the business evolve with it and meet the needs of the operating teams
    • Collaborate with finance to model and monitor performance to support our operating and sales incentive plans

Required Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree required, or equivalent experience
    • 7+  years of professional experience in the programmatic space
    • Comprehensive understanding of the programmatic advertising flow, such as the functioning of ad serving, the decisioning from the buy-side/DSP to the publisher, and levers for yield optimization
    • Comfort and expertise manipulating and analyzing large datasets is a requirement, and the ability to extract key insights from datasets and translate to executive level communication is critical
    • Experience and comfort working in SQL, PowerBI, Python and/or similar tools is a requirement
    • Strong manager with excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills - collaborative and positive spirit is critical to success
    • Proven ability to collaborate across functions, defining goals, and driving action and execution on goals; Strong ability to lead direct and indirect teams
    • Strong ability to delegate while remaining close to the details of the work

Desired Qualifications & Skills

    • Commercial experience with statistical analysis is preferred
    • Experience in Consulting or interacting with senior executives is a plus
$156,000 - $183,000 a year
Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, New York Fair Chance Act, and any other state or local hiring regulations, we will consider for employment any qualified applicant, including those with arrest and conviction records, in a manner consistent with the applicable regulation. 

OpenX is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For applicants in New York, New Jersey, California, and Colorado, the salary range is $156,000 - $183,00 per year + bonus + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.  The salary range may differ in other states.
