About the job

Twilio is looking for a Director of Sales Analytics within our Communications Platform business unit. In this role you will use analytics to drive strategy and develop talent for the largest products at Twilio, identifying the opportunities we have and rallying cross functional stakeholders taking Twilio’s Communications Platform to new heights. Projects your team will work on include building frameworks for international  market expansion through wholesale and/or indirect channels, create, own & track performance incentive metrics for compensable roles, and act as a key stakeholder in our strategic investment frameworks for annual and long-term planning. Drive deep partnership with Sales Leadership, RevOps peers and BI stakeholders to make an impact. You have a demonstrated track record of excellence in data analysis, project management, communication, mentorship and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Mentor, lead & coach a team of analysts driving their foundational quantitative skills into advanced abilities creating insights and using relative comparisons
  • Cross functional collaboration - Professionalism, accountability, intraday responsiveness, and thoughtfulness as to how we partner and engage with Sales, Support, Professional Services, Wholesale/Carrier Relations, Marketing and Product to deliver best in class services to our internal customers.
  • Ownership & leadership - Act like an owner. Take personal accountability for results and overall engagement of teams under management. 
  • Leverage technical and industry experience - drive scalable access to data insights using SQL, excel and data visualization tools (Tableau). Partner with GTM teams to understand their pain points and create solutions to improve day to day operations.
  • Learn and leverage new technologies, products, systems and processes. Examples could include implementing LLM tools/technologies to improve our forecasting and insight generation processes; stitch together disparate data sources (ex. 1st party usage data, product console data, salesforce, gong customer interaction data) to deliver holistic account insights that drive corporate strategy.

Required:

  • 8-10 years of professional experience in Revenue Operations, Business Operations or Consulting with a focus on data analytics
  • Experience as a people manager
  • Deep experience setting targets and bringing business leaders along during planning processes. Understanding that target setting exercises are more than just quantitative models.
  • Experience with productivity modeling, supply and demand economics and P&L reporting
  • Experience with Salesforce (CRM tools), Excel, Tableau (or another business intelligence tool) required, SQL knowledge required
  • Energized by a dynamic, high-growth environment; resilient in the face of challenges
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience

Desired:

  • Some experience working with telecom companies, including SMS aggregators, carriers, or global communications platforms
  • Software, SaaS, CPaas or PaaS experience

Location

This role will be remote and Based in the US. Please note this role is not eligible to be hired in the SF bay or surrounding area.

*Please note this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado, California, New York, and Washington. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $160,080.00  - $200,100.00.
  • Based in New York, Washington State or California (outside the San Francisco Bay Area): $169,520.00  - $211,900.00.
  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
