About the Role

Vidyard is looking for a Growth Analyst to join our Growth team. Reporting to the Director, Growth, you will analyze and optimize the growth strategies of Vidyard. You will work in a cross-functional collaborative environment to improve our top-of-funnel growth, build acquisition and retention loops, implement data-driven optimization experiments, and ultimately provide a more engaging and personalized experience for our users and customers.The Growth Analyst will be instrumental in helping the Growth team launch and analyze high impact experiments that will grow and retain our Free and Pro (Self-Service) user base and drive monetization.

This is a remote role open to candidates located in Canada.

About the Team

Our Growth team is an autonomous organization that is responsible for accelerating Vidyard’s investments in Product-Led Growth and Self-Service, by rapidly experimenting across the user lifecycle. Our cross-functional team is staffed with Data, Engineering, Design and Marketing talent, and we’re responsible for delivering high-impact experiments that tangibly improve our users’ experience with our products. We’re passionate about A/B testing and validating hypotheses with data, as well as about maintaining high standards of software quality and performance. We collaborate with teams across all parts of the business to drive user acquisition, engagement, retention and monetization.

What You’ll Work On

  • Identify and document data infrastructure needs to enable successful experimentation across Growth initiatives 
  • Analyze and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets, tease out new insights and identify hypotheses that could unlock significant growth opportunities across our user lifecycle
  • Inform product experimentation by (a) forecasting potential growth and project impact and (b) recommending testing best practices regarding audience segmentation, cohort size and required time to achieve statistically significance
  • Develop a deep understanding of product features, related KPIs, and Vidyard’s data model
  • Interpret data, analyze product engagement and self-service revenue data using statistical techniques. Provide functional and executive level dashboards and reports
  • Communicate key findings to senior stakeholders, influencing them to make the best decisions possible

As a Growth Analyst You Can Expect to:

  • Play a critical role in accelerating Vidyard’s PLG and self-service motion
  • Leverage product and business data to support the Growth team’s rapid experimentation across the user lifecycle
  • Become the Growth team’s center for institutional knowledge by developing a deep understanding of Vidyard’s user/customer journey phases, key business metrics, data model and analytics tool set
  • Partner with our wider Bizops/Analyst organization to share learnings and collaborate on solutions 
  • Gain hands-on experience identifying trends across our funnel, from user acquisition to retention and monetization
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product-led growth

What You’ll Bring to this Role and Your New Team:

  • 2-5+ years B2B and/or B2C experience in growth analytics at a SaaS company.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to tolerate ambiguity and find creative ways to generate the analyses the business needs beyond what may be asked.
  • Comfortable with statistics and experience as you may be supporting product and/or marketing teams with experiments / testing of customer interactions.
  • Excellent SQL skills and fluency with BI/visualization tools (E.g. Google Looker) 
  • Experience in working with large data sets and distributed computing tools (ie. Redshift)
  • Solid track record of taking a proactive approach, producing growth analytics and delivering in sprints cycles
  • Comfortable with product engagement metrics as well as sales/financial metrics (ARR)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for working with cross-functional teams and learning from the people in them
  • Working knowledge of the marketing and product funnel, customer journeys, onboarding and engagement initiatives, AB testing and automation tools
