As Director of Analytics you will lead a team of data and analytics engineers to deliver analyses that shape the business. You will work closely with leadership across the organization to assess strategic opportunities to optimize. You will do this by prioritizing projects and distributing them to your team, developing plans to execute work, and guiding company decisions based on findings and insights.

What You Will Do:

• Own vision and strategy for the data analytics platform
• Partner with engineering to develop, validate and test data sources
• Communicate and contextualize business performance across the organization
• Align teams on central and departmental KPIs
• Work with stakeholders to leverage data to optimize performance in their departments
• Enable self-service with organizational training and dataset development
• Hire, train, and develop analytics engineers
• Own data infrastructure, governance, security, and fidelity

What You Will Bring:

This role requires deep understanding of modern data technologies and practices including:

• Data loading with tools like Fivetran, Matillion, or Stitch
• Data Warehousing using cloud services such as Snowflake, Redshift, Bigquery, etc.
• Dimensional data modeling in the data warehouse using Kimball or similar methodologies
• Data transformation using DBT
• Extensive experience with BI tools such as Looker and Amplitude
• SQL experience 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Background in statistics programming languages such as Python or R
• Machine learning experience such as regression, forecasting, and classification
• Usage and understanding of Snowflake at the functional and account levels
• Understanding of clickstream data from tools such as Segment, Mparticle, Heap, etc
