Overview

Good Data Studio specializes in unlocking the data for early-stage healthcare startups. Using the modern data stack, our distributed team embeds within client organizations for multi-month long projects. We mostly work with health tech companies who you will be proud to work with, we’re motivated to help the highest impact startups scale their services. We're a versatile group across data engineering, data science, actuarial sciences, and BI analytics.

In this role you will work directly with clients, typically as the only ML/GenAI expert and you’ll typically work alongside other Good Data team members. For this reason, we’re looker for senior/lead-level engineers who have done this before and deployed ML solutions in production.

You can expect to be working on 2-3 client projects at a time and occasional internal-projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy ML and GenAI solutions into production.

  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver efficient, accurate, and cost effective solutions.

  • Build architecture diagrams and weigh alternative solutions, while providing recommendations based on business needs.

  • Perform data cleansing, transformation, and enrichment tasks to improve data quality and usability.

  • Collaborate with Good Data team members or client employees on projects.

  • Provide training and technical support to client technical teams.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, software engineering, and/or machine learning

  • Successfully deployed multiple ML models and/or GenAI solutions into production

  • Familiar with OpenAI, Pinecone, Anthropic, and other leading platforms in the space

  • Not required, nice to haves: as a small team we look for experts in their own area, but ideally folks can also play other roles occasionally.

    • Experience implementing various ETL tools, orchestration solutions, and data warehouses, such as Airbyte, Meltano, Lambda or Cloud Functions, Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.

    • Experience with dbt

    • Experience with BI tools

    • Experience in healthcare
