We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Machine Learning Operations Engineer to join our growing team! As a Machine Learning Operations Engineer, the successful candidate will work cross functionally with our Data Science & Analytics team and developers to help us drive both growth and user acquisition. You'll...

    • partner with the Data Science & Analytics team to drive both growth and user acquisition in support of Credit Sesames business and data infrastructure objectives and requirements;
    • deploy trained machine learning models in batch and real-time modes;
    • improve model scoring performance and scalability;
    • add CI/CD and automation to model training and deployment workflows;
    • enable the Data Science & Analytics teams to package their models for consumption by other engineering teams;
    • design dashboards and metrics to monitor machine learning model scoring performance;
    • further data deliverables through the optimization of data quality, performing data analysis and data mining in large SQL databases, and applying predictive modeling theories to recommend solutions to complex business problems;
    • utilize database reporting, programming, and analytical tools (SQL, SAS, Tableau, Pandas, NumPy, R, Julia, MATLAB, Python, R, Bash, Looker, Groovy, Spark, etc.) to perform data manipulation, data extractions, and the merging of large and complex data;
    • build out analytics pipelines to assess current processes as well as identify ways to expedite and automate them;
    • work with other Data Engineers as well as Data Scientists & Analysts to ensure the quality assurance of data in a Redshift data warehouse;
    • provide Ad Hoc reporting and data analysis, as necessary;
    • interact with data source owners and contribute to the development and implementation of project plans and initiatives;
    • update and provision Application Programming Interfaces (API) to predictive models and support them.

You’re a great fit for our team because…

    • you have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus five (3) years of progressive Machine Learning Operations Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Programmer Analyst, or related experience;
    • you have three (3) years of experience developing in Python for a high-load environment
    • you have three (3) years of experience developing SQL in a relational database such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DB2, Sybase, SQL Server, Teradata, or equivalent;
    • you have three (3) years of experience using an analytical data store such as Redshift or a data lake such as Spark / MapReduce
    • you have three (3) years of experience utilizing Unix Shell Scripting, JSON/YAML, HTML, JSP, JavaScript, Groovy, Spark, and Java (or similar technologies);
    • you have hands-on experience implementing modular and extendable frameworks;
    • you have hands-on experience publishing dashboards and/or reports using Looker or comparable tools;
    • you have hands-on experience building data pipelines using frameworks such as Apache Airflow or Amazon Data Pipeline;
    • you have hands-on experience working with CI/CD pipelines (like Jenkins);you have a high level understanding and hands-on experience with machine learning workflows and frameworks (scikit-learn, XGBoost, MLFlow, Amazon Sagemaker) from training to scoring;
    • you enjoy testing new technologies like ONNX and PyPy to improve model scoring performance.
