We’re looking for a senior director of data engineering to help drive growth and user acquisition across the organization. This team member will have a significant role in strategizing the architecture, performance and sustainability of our cloud data platform, while making data quality available to various stakeholder groups. They will lead a team of data engineers who help move data into centralized locations and dashboards to help decision-making across the business. You’ll...

lead a team of data and ML engineers, while continuing to scale the group through interviewing, hiring and optimizing team efficiencies;

inspire your team to think outside the box, to deliver high quality data engineering and analytical solutions;

manage and scale a cloud big data platform that services internal teams by providing analytics and business insights;

manage and scale an API integration platform, which forms the core backbone of the organization;

Introduce and improve data quality monitoring and SLA management systems;

uphold, refine and introduce data quality standards, engineering best practices and KPIs;

collaborate with internal teams to understand their business needs, to create actionable, data-driven solutions to service their department needs.

You’ll make an impact because…

you’ve built and managed large scale data platforms;

you’ve scaled and managed high performing data engineering teams;

you’ve had a mix of data engineering managers/leads and individual contributors report to you in the past;

you have a background with technologies such as AWS (Redshift, SE, Lambda, Cassandra), Python and Java;

you’ve successfully evangelized, maintained and scaled best practices for data quality and engineering initiatives;

you understand the challenges of moving large datasets, in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively deliver relevant data-driven solutions in a timely manner;

you are familiar with data modeling, lineage and MDM design;

you’re excited to lead data engineering efforts for a rapidly growing fintech organization;

you’ve worked as an IC data engineer.
