Job Summary

The Manager, Data Governance & Operations will bring data management experience and technical skills to manage the end-to-end life cycle of enterprise data. This role is to set up proactive data quality checks, act as data stewards, focused on the day-to-day data operations & management tasks, primarily focusing on monitoring the entire lifecycle of data, govern the data & change management. This work will require collaboration with many partners, including other business teams, Analytics & Insights and Operations, and commercial teams.

This leader will lead a team of database administrators, data architects, data governance analysts and solution lead, and contract resources to develop, maintain and support data management solutions and operations. The purpose of this position is to provide technical leadership for DBAs and contract developers and to provide production and non-production support of on premise and cloud data repositories.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain predictable, transparent data storage that ensures-on access to high-quality data for stakeholders across the company
  • Responsible for day-to-day data collection, transportation, maintenance/curation and access to the HD data set
  • Work cross-functionally across the enterprise to centralize data and standardize it for use by business, data science or other stakeholders (This also involves storing and exposing data via a Database, Data Lake, and other APIs)
  • Develop and lead an enterprise-wide data governance program, incuding creating and running a data governance council.
  • Oversees maintenance of business rules and Data Quality Management activities to align with up/downstream data needs/changes
  • Ensure that data collected internally and externally meets quality standards
  • Manage data governance processes focusing on quality, consistency, usability, and availability of customer, product, territory alignments, etc to the business and downstream systems
  • Demonstrate the ability to influence multiple stakeholders to ensure a high-level of team involvement in key business decisions while working effectively with business partners

Bachelor's Degree Required

Education Specifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, or equivalent, with 8+ years practical experience managing database administrators, architects, engineers, and contract developers

Experience Requirements

  • Knowledge, Abilities & Skills: Relational database concepts, modern data warehousing concepts, Microsoft SQL Server 2016 & higher, T-SQL
  • 8+ years of relevant data management consulting or industry experience (Enterprise Data Architecture, Data Engineering (or ETL), Master Data Management, Data Catalogs & Lineage, Data Governance and Data Quality, Data Strategy
  • Experience with Data Governance, Data Management software including MDM, data catalogue, data lineage tools (e.g.: Informatica, Talend, Atacama or Collibra)
  • Experience in data bases like SQL server, Oracle, DB2
  • Experience with Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Operation, Data quality measurement, and project management
  • Proficient in business process analysts and data model, process flow, functional architecture documentation and agile methodologies.
  • Experienced in data architecture, relational data modeling methodologies including normalized data modeling, start schema modeling.
  • Experience in data base administration, performance tuning, SQL, and Data profiling
  • Experience in various databases like Oracle, SQL server, DB2, data modeling tool Erwin/Embarcadero, cloud technologies Azure

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
