This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Remote employees are expected to have a dedicated, quiet and distraction-free work space and an internet connection that’s sufficient for completing their job remotely.

Job Summary

Developing and delivering a rational, holistic, consumer-led, data-driven motorcycle product portfolio that maximizes commercial impact for Harley-Davidson Dealers and the Motor Company.

Responsible for analyzing the costs and pricing of a business's models and options; then, recommend current and future pricing strategies to the management team.
•    Monitor and analyze motorcycle pricing and options to ensure that the prices are competitive and beneficial to the organization. Articulate tradeoffs and outcomes. 
•    Understand the market forces that impact pricing, such as competition, customer preferences, and macroeconomic trends.
•    Create elasticities, recommendations, and detect anomalies while controlling for inventory, economics, alternatives, etc. then collaborate cross-functionally on the market and financial analyses.

Job Responsibilities

•    Performing cost analyses and creating price models for motorcycles and options
•    Gather data from various sources, process it appropriately, and apply useful metrics to make sense of it.
o    Find patterns and trends in datasets to uncover insights
•    Create pricing models and data pipelines to explain and forecast pricing outcomes 
•    POV on economic impact into consumer pricing needs
•    Create and explain price laddering and logic for those recommendations
•    Use of qualitative and quantitative insight supplement model views and create well-rounded recommendations
•    Simplification of complex ideas. Communicate recommendations to other teams and senior leadership in a visual and digestible manner
•    Use languages and tools such as Python, R, and SQL in data analysis
•    Work as an ‘honest broker’ with internal cross-functional stakeholders to resolve conflict and ensure pricing outcomes are obtainable or their impact is understood, then communicate effectively.

Bachelor's Degree Required

Education Specifications

A bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, or Economics (or a related field) is required.

Experience Requirements

The successful candidate will have an understanding and general knowledge of broad business competencies, including the following:  
•    Building models for price / volume prediction, including linear and logistic regression among others
•    Creation and use of elasticity models and price thresholding
•    Data visualization - Must be able to create in Power BI or Tableau dashboards and Excel
•    Programing language competency – R or Python 
•    Expert level efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
•    Storytelling/audience communication - communicating a story not presenting data
•    A track record of real impact; delivering complex projects on time. 
•    Proven ability to prioritize and drive concurrent projects to successful outcomes.
•    Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse, cross-functional team. 
•    Challenges the status quo, pushes the organization to think differently and leads without authority.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
