We're seeking a Manager of Growth Analytics, reporting to the Director of Strategy & Analytics, to be a driving force behind our data-led growth strategy.

This is a particularly exciting time to join Kickstarter, as we're growing rapidly and taking imaginative swings to transform the way people bring creative projects to life. We were just named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Companies of 2023 and this role will be at the heart of that influence. The position requires a blend of data analysis, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving, with room for upward mobility as our organization expands.

As our Manager of Growth Analytics, you will leverage data to inform our product and GTM strategies, pioneering a culture of experimentation with teams that are excited to dive in. You will collaborate closely with our Lifecycle Marketing and Brand Marketing teams, merging creativity with data to refine and amplify their messages. Growth here doesn’t just mean growing revenue; it means growing our mission and influence to help creators bring projects to life, and connect backers with projects they’ll love. You’ll collaborate with our outreach and research science teams to find new ways to accelerate the success of creators in our community. This role also provides an opportunity to influence at the highest level. From contributing to board reports to producing executive briefs, your insights will inform leadership, shaping the future of our organization. Finally, you’ll navigate the complex crowdfunding and creator economy ecosystem, identifying risks and opportunities, and guiding us to success as long-time leaders in this space. Your insights won't just reflect the market – they'll define it.

Hours are flexible, but this role’s workday must generally include the hours between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. U.S. Pacific Time, Monday through Thursday, to maximize overlap with colleagues across U.S. time zones.

The salary range for this role in the United States is $130,000 - $160,000.

In this role, You Will

  • Manage day-to-day operations of product analytics, marketing analytics, and experimentation functions, including tool implementation and management, vendor relationships, staff training, and investigating new features for potential adoption
  • Lead experimentation program in collaboration with Product and Design teams: develop hypotheses, design experiments, evaluate results, and manage “air traffic control”
  • Collaborate with, and provide actionable insights to, Lifecycle Marketing and Brand Marketing teams
  • Identify growth levers and risks through analysis of market trends, competitive landscape, and evaluation of potential partnerships
  • Monitor product and user metrics, focusing on retention and engagement, including leveraging network effects of our multi-sided marketplace
  • Analyze large data sets across the user life cycle to inform business decisions
  • Develop and monitor real-time dashboards and alerts, providing just-in-time insights to the teams who need them most

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in growth, product, and marketing analytics
  • Proven experience managing an experimentation program including hypothesis development, experiment design, and statistical analysis
  • Robust knowledge of marketing insights including social listening tools, SEO, digital marketing A/B testing, and attribution
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with databases to extract and analyze data
  • Extensive experience with data tools such as Amplitude, Segment, Looker, Google Analytics, and Mouseflow, or similar
  • Strong understanding of statistics and probability as they relate to experimentation
  • Excellent presentation skills, with a knack for communicating insights to varying audiences
  • Commitment to scientific rigor and data integrity, while also being flexible, creative, and solutions-oriented with stakeholders
  • Biased toward action; can initiate and drive simultaneous complex projects to success with minimal guidance
  • Highly motivated to bring creators and backers together to bring creative projects to life
