Our first product, Aim Lab, is a personalized training platform that helps gamers learn about their strengths and weaknesses and train for the game they love. Aim Lab has over 20 million players around the world and is available for free on Steam and even on Roblox. Aim Lab also has official partnerships with some of the biggest publishers, including Riot, and Ubisoft.
Our team consists of scientists, designers, engineers, and game industry vets coming together from places like NYU, MTV, NASA, Yale, Nintendo, and the NFL. Manager of Analytics and Data Science
We're looking for a smart, self-directed Manager of Analytics and Data Science who is comfortable bringing new ideas to the table and can stay calm under the uncertainty of building something totally new. We're always balancing our efforts between young and mature projects, so you'll get along great with us if you aren't afraid to iterate quickly on fresh ideas, but also take pride in running a stable ship.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to various business units with emphasis on 3rd party data partnerships and integrations
- Participate in buildout and maintenance of data ETL
- Analysis and deliverables resulting in production output such as: player skill metrics, win expectancy, wins above replacement
- Ownership of all 3rd party data integrations and transformations
Ideal Skills
- Must be passionate and actively engaged in gaming/video gaming/esports culture
- 6-10+ years of experience in data analytics/data science role
- High level proficiency of SQL
- Experience performing data analysis and statistical modeling using the R or Python
- Ability to created scalable, accurate, and appropriate models based on complex business problems and data sets
- Comfortable presenting analytical findings resulting in recommendations for change
- Can collaborate with cross functional teams and influence product and analytics roadmap, with a demonstrated proficiency in relationship building
- Self-motivated, thrives in environments of ambiguity, experience initiating and driving projects with minimal oversight and guidance
- Experience developing ETL pipelines leveraging SQL and Python
