The Job

Postclick is looking for an exceptional Manager of Analytics to help guide the analytics team and provide the organization with best practices, and contribute to transforming our data into information, information into insights, and insights into actionable business decisions.

This person will work collaboratively across departments (product, professional services, sales, marketing, and customer support) and use data to improve our insights generation capabilities, and help other teams become more data-capable. This position will also be responsible for managing a small team, and work closely with the rest of the data teams in Data Science, Data Development, and Big Data to advance and promote the role of data throughout the organization.

(3) Have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive business impact and a good understanding of how data is used in advertising, marketing, sales, and other business aspects.


Responsibilities

  • Work with all teams across the organization to build and improve our data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouse infrastructure to ensure all departments are able to use data with ease and accuracy.
  • Exercise sound judgment in researching problems, evaluating solutions, and using data to inform decision making that impacts product development and the company's bottom line.
  • Be responsible for full stack analytics tools, and demonstrate ability to use available tools to accomplish set objectives.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and coaching to the analytics team, in collaboration with other data team leads.
  • Provide hands-on support and training to help democratize and elevate the use of Postclick data across the organization and externally.
  • Assist with overarching Data & Analytics department goals to help employees across the organization make the best use of our data, and help generate insights that elevate our business and products.

  • Master’s degree in Analytics, Business intelligence, statistics, applied mathematics, computer science/engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, data analysis, or business intelligence.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing analytics teams in small to mid sized companies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to write complex SQL queries. (ETL experience is a plus.)
  • Proven experience in creating dashboards (Preferably in Looker), presentations, and the ability to present complex data insights to an audience.
  • Proven experience working with at least one of the major database platforms (SQLServer, DB2, Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, Sybase).
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, challenging environment where the insights you report will have a large impact.
  • Driven, self-starter, and a willing-to-learn personality.
  • Proven experience working with one or more of tools including Looker, Snowflake, Segment, Hubspot, Google Data Studio, Google Big Query, Google Analytics is a major plus
