About you

Primary areas of responsibility

  • You will work alongside talented engineers, product managers, scrum masters, and visual designers across several countries, on a young codebase, built with modern technology stacks and best practices
  • Day to day you will work in a Machine Learning team with a tech lead (and team manager), data engineers, peer data scientists and a product manager
  • Actively and constructively give and receive feedback to drive team success; you communicate where people stand honestly and sensitively
  • Support project completion amidst adversity with a positive attitude; able to shift in a quickly changing environment
  • Be a technical expert and your teammates and stakeholders learn from you
  • Participate in the strategy, planning, and execution of your team’s technology roadmap & OKR’s
  • Ensure technology standards and best practices are met
  • Translate status, needs and gaps upward to Software and Technology leadership to drive productivity and departmental goal achievement
  • Work with leadership to ensure a unified culture

Requirements

  • Graduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of working in Data Science, Analytics or Software Development
  • 4+ years writing robust code in Python, Scala or an equivalent modern programming language
  • 2+ years working in Data Science and Machine Learning teams
  • You have expert knowledge of statistics and AI/ML fundamentals
  • Prior experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and using SQL language
  • You have good knowledge of Python and its major data science libraries 
    Experience working in a rapidly moving environment
  • Passionate about building efficient solutions to complex business problems, you step forward to lead and tackle challenging assignments
  • Able to break high-level business requirements into technical requirements in order to align with your product identities long term vision and alter the vision as needed as business needs evolve
