Principal Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly qualified Principal Data Scientist with experience in building machine learning(ML) and deep learning models. The role requires a proven track record of professional excellence and a high willingness to be the driving force behind developing great software to serve our customers. The Principal Data Scientist will work on i-Ready Technology eam, responsible for analyzing data from multiple contexts and applying AI solutions to solve problem on AWS cloud infrastructure following Agile methodologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the data science team in the development of advanced analytics solutions
  • Work with stakeholders to identify business problems that can be solved using data science techniques
  • Design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions to solve complex business problems
  • Lead the exploration of new data sources and techniques to enhance the quality and accuracy of the data used in analytics solutions
  • Build and maintain predictive models to help drive business decisions
  • Communicate results and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that data science solutions are integrated into business operations
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data science solutions and make recommendations for improvements
  • Stay up to date with the latest data science techniques and technologies and share knowledge with the team

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • MS or above in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science or an equivalent degree
  • 10+ years’ experience in Data Science or Machine Learning, with a track record of developing and implementing data-driven solutions
  • Experience developing in Python to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
  • Experience in querying databases using SQL, Python, etc.
  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
  • Strong programming skills and mastery of statistical and machine learning concepts
  • Experience with model selection techniques to identify models that align most closely with our business and product objectives
  • Experience applying advanced machine learning methodologies in a production setting
  • Experience with Amazon cloud computing infrastructure (SageMaker, S3, EMR Lambda etc.)
  • Experience working with the Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Should have strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

  • Experience with large volume data processing and big data tools such as Apache Spark

Benefits and Pay Range:


Pay Range – This role’s range is $126,750 - $233,750. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. This role is also eligible to participate in the company bonus plan. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
