About the Role:

The Community team builds products that help connect 100M+ viewers to millions of live streamers in real time. As Senior Product manager for Search, you are responsible for end-to-end Search experience and strategy at Twitch, overseeing our modeling and relevance engine, and overall growth of the full suite of Search products. You’ll craft delightful experiences that make it easier for users to engage with live content happening at any and every moment. Reporting to the VP of Product of Community, you provide strategy that requires a balance of well placed machine learning and data science investments, empathy that prioritizes customer-first solutions and storytelling skills to inspire leaders across the company.

This position can be located in San Francisco, CA; Irvine, CA; Seattle, WA; New York, NY.

You Will:
- Manage product definition, strategy and long-term vision for recommendations at Twitch
- Collaborate with researchers, data scientists and engineers to run data-driven experiments and modeling improvements to inform product direction.
- Work with teams across the organization to launch new features powered by machine learning.
- Integrate behavioral data and customer feedback into important product decisions.
- Influence product managers across all of Twitch by communicating your vision for content recommendations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of Product Development experience launching recommendation and machine learning products at scale
- 3+ years as a PM: we firmly believe that Engineering, Science, TPM and Design experience is valuable for PMs and counts towards time in role
- Direct experience with ML at a large scale media/tech or digital entertainment company.
- An understanding of Machine Learning, and the ability to map customer problems to ML solutions.
- Make ML products clear, coherent and understandable to non-technical partners.
- Understanding of common ML algorithms, and ability to predict what is and isn’t feasible with the available data
- Expertise in data driven development; Experience drawing relevant insights from ambiguous data to make decisions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- A Computer Science background OR at least 2 years directly working with Machine Learning teams
- Experience from Community based, or live streaming products

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
