About the Role
 
Vendr is seeking a skilled, passionate, and accomplished Product Analytics Lead in our efforts to make Vendr the best place in the world to Find, Buy, and Manage SaaS. Working within our Product Ops team and across our organization, the Product Analytics Lead will own the strategy, planning, and execution of our product analytics framework.
 
The ideal candidate will bring subject matter expertise and a proven track record of leveraging data to drive customer impact and achieve business objectives. You will work across our Product and Engineering teams to help define and track KPIs, solve complex problems, and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will support the design, development and administration of advanced analytics dashboards and reporting for product, and play a key role in influencing the product roadmap by providing critical insight into areas of opportunity.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Own the strategy, planning, and execution of our entire product analytics framework
  • Partner with leaders in Product Management, Data Engineering, and GTM teams to help scale our product data infrastructure and champion data-driven decision making across the organization.
  • Collaborate with PMs to define product metrics and KPIs. Govern implementation across Scrum teams by defining best-practices that allow us to capture the maximum amount of data signal.
  • Identify opportunities for our product to drive increased customer conversion, retention, engagement, and lifetime value, both through data and a deep qualitative understanding of our customers
  • Structure and deliver concise, data-driven narratives to help drive product priorities and influence roadmap
  • Lead the design, development and administration of advanced analytics dashboards and reporting for product, executives, and other key stakeholders to easily consume.
  • Support PMs by conducting post-release analysis to measure impact on customers, revenue, and business KPIs. Identify key problem areas post-launch to inform future product iterations.
  • Mentor more junior analysts as the team grows.
 
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of overall experience in Product Analytics or Data Engineering, ideally at a B2B SaaS company
  • Experience with best-in-class product analytics tools, including Mixpanel, Segment, and FullStory.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, with an ability to write custom queries in Metabase or equivalent.
  • Ability to synthesize large and complicated data sets to craft narratives, actionable insights, and visuals
  • A passion for leading in a high-paced, fast-changing, and sometimes ambiguous work environment
  • A demonstrated self-starter who takes ownership of projects and drives them to completion with minimal direction or supervision.
  • Experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams to build and improve products which are critical to growth, engagement, and retention of customers.
  • Experience building dashboards that cater to Product Managers, Executives, and other key stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to help drive strategy and influence stakeholder teams
