Who we are & why we’re hiring

Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we're on a journey to becoming a globally antiracist company that supports diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the job

As a part of the Marketing Strategy & Planning team at Twilio Segment, this role will analyze, report, and ultimately improve marketing impact on our revenue funnel. Using a mix of quantitative analysis, customer insight, and business acumen, you will help the marketing team set and achieve significant growth goals. You will also partner with team members in finance, revenue operations, and sales to forecast company pipeline and diagnose areas for improvement that impact marketing performance.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Collaborate closely with marketing leaders, fully immerse yourself in data, draw insight from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations.

  • Act as an enabling business partner to your teammates and Twilio Segment’s sales leaders to understand levers to grow pipeline and revenue.

  • Proactively seek, identify and evaluate market trends and customer needs to discover new growth opportunities.

  • Address ambiguous problems and formulate hypotheses into concrete and well-designed measurement plans demonstrating experimentations, attribution, and/or statistical modeling.

  • Drive end-to-end analytics workflow, including defining success, generating insights and hypotheses, performance metrics, socializing them across the organization, creating impactful dashboards and reports, and developing scalable analytics solutions and data models.

  • Constantly strive for progress, regularly identifying areas of improvement that support the organization achieving it’s core objectives with a specific focus on key metrics, tooling, and process.

  • Gain alignment to your recommendations, and work with the appropriate collaborators to see the solution through to implementation.

  • Lead projects that range from 1-week to multiple quarters in length, depending on the size and complexity. Examples of past projects include (but not limited to) break-even analysis to advise sales development hiring plans, improving conversion on demo requests, and diagnosing a conversion headwind in a portion of our revenue funnel.
