As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, constructing and maintaining data models that are used by our entire organization to obtain data-driven insights and build predictive models. The ideal candidate loves working with data and enjoys building trustworthy data models in an organized way that enables the team to work more effectively and build optimal solutions. Reporting directly to the Manager of Analytics Engineering, this is an exciting opportunity to help manage our modern analytics platform, using SQL, dbt, Fivetran and Snowflake.

In This Role You Will:

  • Design, build and maintain data models and marts using dbt, in collaboration with our Business Intelligence and Data Science teams
  • Leverage data modeling expertise to design and build scalable data models that reduce duplicate logic (DRY coding principle)
  • Collaborate with Data Science team to create variables used to train predictive models
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering team on the deployment of variables that feed production predictive models
  • Collaborate with Technology team on schema changes within our applications to ensure our data models remain active and accurate
  • Ensure the team’s code meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices through review of analyst Pull Requests
  • Assist with the evaluation of new third-party data sources
  • Create and maintain documentation on our architecture and data

Role Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer or Business Intelligence Analyst
  • Advanced SQL and data modeling skills
  • 1+ years of experience using dbt OR extensive experience with Python
  • 1+ years of experience using a cloud data warehouse, like Snowflake or Redshift
  • Ability to effectively understand requirements and communicate technical solutions and business logic
  • Experience with Looker, Tableau and Python preferred
