As a Senior Analytics Engineer on our Analytics team, you will own our processes that transform raw data into clean, reliable data models that are used by our entire organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Analytics and Data Science, this is an exciting opportunity to build and manage our analytics modeling layer, using SQL and DBT.

You will collaborate with our Technology teams to understand schema changes within our applications to ensure (1) the new schema and data is complete and (2) our DBT models remain active and accurate. You will also collaborate with our Data Science team to test and evaluate new third-party data sources.

In this role you will:

• Manage our modern data stack (Snowflake + Fivetran + DBT + Census)
• Design, build and maintain our data models and marts using DBT, in collaboration with our Business Intelligence and Data Science teams
• Implement DBT modeling best practices and advanced functionality (e.g. documentation, snapshots, tests, etc.)
• Review BI Analysts’ SQL, ensuring it is written efficiently and follows our DBT modeling standards
• Collaborate with our Technology team on schema changes within our applications
• Test and evaluate new third-party data sources

Requirements: (Even if you don’t check every box, but see yourself contributing, please apply.)

• 5+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer or Business Intelligence Analyst
• SQL expert with the ability to write complex and performant SQL queries
• 1+ year experience using DBT
• Experience using a cloud data warehouse, like Snowflake or Redshift
• Ability to work with and understand all types of data, including unstructured data
• Experience with Looker, Tableau and Python preferred
• Experience working with lending-related data preferred
