We are creating a whole new market category in financial services that sits at the intersection of a credit market place and credit builder digital banking services with the clear purpose to make financial inclusion and wellness a reality for everyone.
We are looking for a hands-on, business intelligence expert who can help unleash the full power of data and analytics to drive the business and support the growth of the Data Governance team. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Data Governance in Engineering and provides a unique opportunity to both solve our company’s most interesting problems and develop new business strategies.
You'll...
- visualize data in reporting applications (Looker, Tableau, QlikView,) to provide business value and answer business questions;
- gather requirements for new dashboard projects and provide development estimates;
- analyze data models and business requirements to create LookML objects, including determination of source objects and how to join views into Explores;
- design new LookML dimensions or measures with given requirements;
- translate business requirements into the appropriate LookML structures (e.g., dimensions, measures, and derived tables);
- understand and promote use of tools and applications supported by the Data and Analytics Team;
- document and enable self-service BI dashboard capabilities to cross-functional business teams for better access to data anytime;
- provide status to the IT Leadership and Analytics team on dashboard build and development;
- create and execute comprehensive data validation test plans;
- investigate and resolve data quality problems with reporting data in a production support environment including responding to JIRA tickets.
You're a great fit for our team because...
- you have 1-3 years of experience;
- you have a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering/sciences field;
- you have a Looker certification (nice-to-have);
- you have knowledge and experience building BI dimensions and measures in a cloud data lake environment;
- you understand data quality process, troubleshooting and remediation;
- you have knowledge of Agile report development using the Kanban/scrum framework;
- you have experience in Unix scripting, Python, SQL with AWS data lake environment.
