Your Role:

As a Senior Business Intelligence Manager you will empower people in the company to take informed actions. You will partner closely with the most senior leaders of our business and your primary goal will be to ensure that their department’s data needs are being met. Confident, clear, and frequent communication will be required.  The primary deliverables of your team  will be what we call data products, but also thought leadership, troubleshooting, and the successful scaling of our processes. 

Specific day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Own the request work stream for new data products, enhancements, and fixes. 
  • Manage the priority, rigor, and scope of requests based on urgency and impact.
  • Manage a team of data analysts on projects providing guidance on soft and hard skills.
  • Communicate responsively across teams, align expectations, and manage project scopes.
  • Partner with stakeholders to strategically evolve the data products they use.
  • Improve our internal support processes and efficiency as we scale the team.
  • Support our company-wide data analyst community.
  • Help business users and analysts utilize existing data and information resources.
  • Investigate data and reporting discrepancies to maintain trust with stakeholders.
  • Work with data producers on data improvement initiatives.
  • Create actionable Tableau dashboards and business case analyses.
  • Create trustworthy and standardized data to expose an accurate and consistent view of the business. 

Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of hands-on data analytics experience with direct stakeholder interactions
  • A track record of impactful project and people management experiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts and their implications to leadership and other decision makers with diverse backgrounds
  • Experience working as an individual contributor on a business intelligence team
  • Experience building solutions with data collection, integration, and warehousing.
  • Strong experience developing solutions using Tableau, SQL  (including performance tuning), and Excel/Sheets.
  • Experience with data quality and developing auditable data products.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Highly self-motivated learner, with attention to detail.
  • Nice to have experience:
  • Familiarity with GitHub, ClickUp, DataGrip
  • Familiarity with data transformation, lineage, and low code tools
  • Experience with Python and Unix shell
  • Experience with accounting, finance, and ERP systems
  • Data Governance and Data Management experience

HopSkipDrive is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $145,000. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location. The total compensation package for this role also includes equity stock options.
