About the Role

We are seeking a Sr Data Analyst to help grow our library of healthcare analytics content and machine learning features, and integrate this into our ecosystem of products and solutions. You have extensive experience in value-based care provider or payer analytics - specifically Medicare, and a deep understanding of cost and quality measures. You’re eager to learn how to build analytics solutions as products at scale, adhering to best practices within the SDLC. You will report to the Senior Director of Product- Solutions, and join our growing team of data engineers, data scientists, and informaticists. You’ll be instrumental in providing accurate and actionable insights to our diverse user base, from CFOs and population health executives, to care managers and social workers. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of analytics content and solutions, which are integrated into products for value-based care providers and payers.
  • Ensure the accuracy, validity, and reliability of the analytics content you develop.
  • Learn ClosedLoop’s proprietary query language to build quality measure and utilization reporting/dashboards and ML features.
  • Collaborate closely with data engineering and other team members on the available data, proactively raising considerations and feedback to ensure timely completion of the overall solution.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and leverage your healthcare data expertise to inform the design of analytics solutions which generate key insights for our users.
  • Partner with engineering to adhere to, and contribute to the expansion of, best in class software development practices, including but not limited to: CI/CD, System Scalability and performance, code reviews, quality controls
  • Partner with Customer Success, Sales, and Professional Services to incorporate user feedback and enhance our analytics solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations, and suggest relevant advancements for our analytics solutions.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3+ years experience in healthcare analytics.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data, cost/quality measures, reimbursement models and risk adjustment, and the evolving Medicare VBC landscape.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing large administrative and clinical datasets to conduct healthcare analyses to understand the dynamics of costs, quality and outcomes in a population and key subpopulations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in programmatic manipulation of data (specifically SQL, pandas with python), and automating reports.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI).
  • A commitment to accuracy, data integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, both independently and as part of a team to accomplish goals.

  • Software development or machine learning experience.
  • Clinical expertise.
