TL;DR 

As our growth efforts have expanded and evolved, so has the demand for insights that upgrade our customer acquisition approaches. That’s why we’re seeking a data analyst focused specifically in this business-critical area.  They’ll build on our existing marketing infrastructure and analytics foundations, assembling, integrating and analyzing acquisition data to ensure growth teams know what to do and where to spend. 

This is a highly collaborative, cross-functional role that will work closely with Trainual's acquisition, marketing and growth teams. The analyst will be the SME (subject matter expert) for all things marketing analytics. From martech tooling, performance dashboards, full-funnel optimization, experimentation reporting… the sky’s the limit (like, seriously) if it helps scale Trainual's growth engine.

So who are you? You’re enthusiastic about connecting the dots between marketing execution and measured business impact. You know all the customer acquisition acronyms and how to calculate them: CPM, CPC, CPA, LTV, CAC. You are comfortable with change and are ok with pivoting on a moments notice.

What you will own & improve:

    • Support marketing & growth stakeholders in making data-centered decisions on a daily basis. Help transform large, potentially messy, data sets from multiple sources into reliable performance metrics. Create, define, and update marketing “source of truth” dashboards, always with an eye toward usability and business impact. Interpret the data to identify the most important opportunities for Trainual’s customer growth.
    • Manage analytics projects and initiatives end-to-end. Own the analytics process with cross-functional stakeholders, from understanding requirements, developing a project plan, analyzing the data, and sharing your findings. Over-communicate progress with interested parties so members remain aligned and informed for the duration of the initiative.
    • Maintain the data workflows and integrations that power marketing efforts. Refactor queries and data connections, where necessary, to increase the simplicity, accuracy, and consistency of getting data from marketing tools to insights. Be accountable for successful performance of acquisition tooling and models (e.g. adside pixels, attribution, conversion and activation events). Partner with our Analytics Engineer to troubleshoot issues, bring in additional team members or platform vendors when necessary, to limit any disruption or distrust in data.

What you alreaday know:

    • 3-5 years of experience in marketing analytics role, B2B or Saas preferred
    • Experience building or maintaining marketing analytics infrastructure as the only analyst or on a small, scrappy team
    • Fluency in data visualization and dashboarding
    • Familiarity with the implementation and maintenance of marketing data aggregation + transformation, identity resolution, tag management, web analytics, and attribution
    • Knowledgeable about B2B funnel and attribution reporting
    • Experience with event tracking, offline conversions, and  audience lists in major digital ad platforms (e.g. Google, Facebook, etc)
    • Comfort using SQL daily to transform data
    • Energized when contributing to team or stakeholders’ successes
    • Able to break down complex topics into simple solutions and ideas, translating the technical for non-technical audiences (and vice versa)

    • Data integration tool (Hightouch, dbt)
About the team: 

This role sits on our Analytics team and reports to our VP of Product, Taylor Sell. You’ll be in constant collabs with our marketing team as well - in particular our Manager of Performance Marketing, Mimmie Helgesson, Director of Growth, Seiji Cataldo, and our Growth Product Manager, Seth Erdman - as well as our other analytics members - Carol Tillett (Sr. Data Analyst) and Leah Cruz (Analytics Engineer).
