About The Team

The Product Analytics team is a distinct part of the broader Analytics function in the Product Management Organization. While belonging to a close-knit central team, each Life360 Analyst partners with one or more groups in Product, Marketing, Engineering and/or Finance on a long-term basis, contributing as a thought leader, establishing domain expertise and developing cross-functional partnerships while collaborating to solve business problems with our data.

About the Job

We're seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Analytics team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Life360’s D2C Ecommerce product and sales strategies.

As a senior member of the Analytics team, you will work within the Life360 Product Analytics to partner with the Device Product, Sales and Marketing teams. The ideal candidate will leverage prior analytic and technical experience in consumer hardware manufacturing, sales, and product, using existing and new data sources, to generate insight into our hardware business while working to identify new opportunities. 

The ideal candidate has a passion for product experiences, the customer journey, fueling the business with meaningful data-driven insights, and distilling results into a compelling narrative. Utilizing a blend of product strategy, technical data skills, sales data and analytic techniques, the candidate should be able to answer a range of business questions and present resulting insights in a concise and effective manner. The ideal candidate would bring a blend of consulting, collaboration, technical aptitude, leadership, programming skills, product sense and business skills to this role. 

The salary range for this position is $135,000 to $175,000. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You’ll Do

  • Leverage Expertise in Google Analytics: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of Google Analytics to build out and use data sources and dashboards to extract meaningful insights and optimize our website and mobile D2C Ecommerce channels.
  • Mobile D2C Ecommerce Analytics: Apply your prior experience in D2C Ecommerce, including platforms like Amazon.com and website sales, to help inform the broader Devices team on both the success and future of our mobile sales strategy.
    • Bonus points for prior experience in B2C Mobile.
  • A/B Testing and Experiment Design: Design and execute A/B tests using appropriate tools, contributing to data-driven decision-making for our Ecommerce sites.
  • Website Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize both visitation and sales conversion metrics on our website, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Data Integration and Analysis: Apply your skills in utilizing and reconciling complex data sets from various sources to derive actionable insights for website optimization and sales conversion.
  • Collaboration with Data Engineers: Collaborate effectively with Data Engineers, playing a key role in scoping data requirements and championing data quality throughout the organization.
  • Collaboration with Marketing:  Successfully evaluating the performance of related marketing campaigns.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ Years of Data Analytics Experience: You have a strong foundation with over 5 years of data analytics experience in consumer internet, mobile, or digital product domains, demonstrating your expertise in these fields.
  • Expertise in Google Analytics: You are an expert in Google Analytics, capable of harnessing its power to enhance our understanding of user behavior and product performance.
  • Proficiency in SQL: You have extensive hands-on experience with SQL, enabling you to efficiently manipulate and analyze data.
    • Experience with big data and cloud-based technologies such as MySQL, AWS, Presto, Athena, Redshift, Hive, and Teradata is a bonus.
  • Data Wrangling and Scripting: Proficiency in data wrangling, scripting, and reporting using Python, R, or equivalent tools, particularly with high-volume data sets.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Your track record includes successfully collaborating with stakeholders to translate strategic business and product questions into impactful analytic projects, showcasing your ability to drive meaningful insights.
  • KPI Tracking: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to ecommerce success, such as conversion rates, average order value, and customer lifetime value.
  • Data Storytelling: You possess the proven ability to tell a compelling story with data, utilizing visualization tools like Tableau, Amplitude to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Statistical Proficiency: Proven experience with effective use of statistical concepts and product experimentation, including power analysis, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, and regression models.
  • Project Management and Organization: You have demonstrated project management and organizational skills, ensuring the successful execution of analytic projects.
  • Quantitative Degree: A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field underpins your strong analytical foundation.
