about the senior data scientist role:

soona is looking for a data scientist to join our machine learning and recommendations team as we continue to build a world-class data organization. you will be responsible for creating and maintaining image-based content recommendation models and working with machine learning engineers to develop the services that provide real-time inference. to be successful in this role, you will bring your expertise in building recommender systems to establish a new product offering at soona. as such, you will lead the technical execution for our content recommendation offerings and work cross-functionally with our product and engineering teams to turn our recommendations into customer-facing products.

this is a full time position that will report directly to the senior director of data science.

• python – the core language of the data organization

• dbt – our primary data transformation layer
• aws or equivalent cloud environment
• computer vision modeling and image processing (preferred)
• deploying machine learning models into production services (preferred)
