As Boulevard evolves, understanding data patterns across our platform becomes both more challenging and more valuable. This is a critical position that will help us further understand our various customer segments. You’ll see the bigger data roadmap and work within our data analytics team to develop statistical and machine learning models to deliver business insights and improve our customer experience.
What you’ll do here:
• Work with the latest technologies to develop and optimize advanced statistical and machine learning models to inform business strategy and improve customer experience
• Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how Boulevard partners, service providers, and clients interact with each other and with our platform
• Influence product and leadership teams through presentation of data-based recommendations, and clearly communicating state of business, experiment results, etc
• Monitor key business metrics, understanding root causes of changes
What you’ll need to thrive:
• Education/Experience: Bachelors/Masters Degree preferred with 4+ years of experience working within an analytical role
• AWS/Modeling: Strong experience in various machine learning and statistical modeling techniques, ideally on AWS
• Technical Languages: Strong SQL skills and proficient in a statistically focussed programming language, preferably Python
• Analytical: Solve analytical problems using quantitative approaches and various modeling techniques across the company
• Communication: Experience communicating the results of analyses with product and leadership teams to influence the strategy of the product
• Timely: Able to prioritize and meet deadlines
• BONUS POINTS A quantitatively focused education (Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, etc.) | Prior experience at a start-up or growth-stage company
Within 1 month you’ll…
• Graduate from Boulevard’s platform training course Connect with and understand how each department and key stakeholders across the company leverage data
• Understand and document the current data landscape
• Learn the core business objectives and company KPIs
• Develop and deliver your first model/data insights
Within 2 months you’ll…
• Prioritize our highest opportunities for data modeling with the greater analytics team
• Enable new data insights by combining your models with existing analytical processes
• Begin to field requests for analysis and models, prioritizing requests from leadership with the analytics team
After 3 months you’ll...
• Take ownership over our models and implement quality assessment and tuning goals
• Actively participate in interviews and be a key contributor in the growth of the data team
• Evolve our data science strategy alongside business objectives
• Showcase to the engineering team and company your contributions and enhancements to our data capabilities
