The Digital Customer Experience - Discovery team is on a mission to reinvent the digital styling experience through the power of data and artificial intelligence. We are working on exciting, cutting edge and impactful opportunities, leveraging computer vision, natural language processing, and the latest open-source methods; creating in-process tools to enhance the stylist shopping experience; and developing analytics solutions that enable the business to make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with engineering, product managers and taxonomy partners on a variety of search related projects, this includes product selection, product ranking, query understanding, autocomplete, and personalization.
Effectively plan and communicate with partners, and co-workers to define and align on deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities.
Manage and influence product strategy and execution with data and insights.
Lead development of data solutions to help solve business problems and improve customer experience.
Select the analytical modeling technique most suitable for the structured, complex data and develops custom analytical models
Build prototypes, and develop and deploy machine learning algorithms to production.
Identify and design experiments to measure the impact of newly developed models
Influence data science standards and best practices across the center of analytical excellence.
Coach junior team members as needed.
Qualifications
MSc in quantitative field or equivalent experience. PhD is a plus.
5+ years of commercial experience as a Data Scientist.
5+ years of experience with Python and proficiency with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
5+ years of experience with SQL. Experience working in environments such as Presto, Spark, and Hive.
3+ years of experience with search systems (Elasticsearch/Solr).
3+ years of experience with learning-to-rank, and NLP. Deep learning and computer vision is a plus.
3+ years of experience in A/B test design and post-test analysis.
Excellent software engineering practices, including test driven development, code review, and version control with git.
Experience making informed trade-offs that balance quick wins with long-term robust solutions.
A passion for machine learning, problem solving, and innovation. .
