Location: Your manager works remotely, and you’ll also be able to work remotely from anywhere in the US.

Job Purpose and Overview

Appfire is looking for a talented Sr. Director of Audience Analytics for our growing Customer Research & Insights team. Your mission is to enable extraordinary product teams to make what truly matters for their intended audiences, through accurate research-derived guidance. Additionally, you will assist the Senior Vice President with the evolution of tooling and process within the global research function.

Key Accountabilities:

    • Leverage your experience administering automation and business intelligence software to clearly translate audience research into actionable guidance for product development teams
    • Efficiently ingest and analyze large volumes of raw audience research data and distill them into clear insights and actionable guidance for product leadership
    • Ensure that qualitative, quantitative and conversational research data are translated into clear & precise directional findings 
    • Guide product managers, product architects, and product marketing managers through research findings relative to their product(s)
    • Work closely with Information Designer(s) to ensure that research insights are delivered with the necessary impact to win “hearts and minds” and drive the right action
    • Assist SVP in streamlining research processes to improve the efficiency of research delivery
    • Drive transparency and accountability across the research team
    • Maintain a steady daily workload on tight timelines
    • Eventually, mentor junior team members as we grow

    • You shriek if someone says “the market wants this,” when there’s no customer data to support it
    • You get goosebumps when uncovering valuable customer insights
    • You skillfully maintain your bearings in the “messy middle“ of a large volume of research data
    • You have the wisdom of humility, and are driven by our shared core value of “Getting it right over Being right”
    • You’re a pure player/coach. You thrive with the ball in your own hand, and prefer to lead by example when mentoring junior team members.
    • You understand the purpose of Atlassian products and the most common needs of their customers.
    • You’re in awe of the opportunity to help guide awesome product teams to improve apps used by millions of people worldwide. 

    • Minimum
    • You have an MBA in research & analysis or 7+ years equivalent demonstrable experience OR
    • You’re a current or former Atlassian administrator who’s ready to shed the stress of the admin panel, and elevate into the esteemed field of Atlassian audience analysis OR
    • You’re a current or former product manager using Atlassian tools to guide software teams into action 

    • Preferred
    • Experience administering workflow, automation, and/or business intelligence apps within the Atlassian commercial marketplace
    • Preferred: 3+ years administering both Atlassian JIRA and Atlassian Confluence
