Shipt, Inc. seeks a full-time Senior Machine Learning Engineer. Partner with Data scientists and Product Managers to build and deploy Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives and product features (e.g., personalization, price optimization, promotion; optimization, Ad Tech platform, Demand/Supply forecasting, Gig Operational efficiencies) and as needed drive the development and deployment of these initiatives and product features. This position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (foreign equivalent accepted) and 3 years of experience in related position as a data analyst or data engineer (e.g., Decision Science Analyst, Data Science Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Scientist) that involved software development. Work experience must also include experience with the following: (1) with Big Data Technologies or similar role (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, and Hive); (2) developing and deploying machine learning models in production; (3) scripting language (e.g., Python, Scala, R); (4) Python API development framework and/or demo UI development (e.g., FastAPI, Django, Python Dash, R Shiny or Flask); (5) cloud computing service or platform (e.g., GCP AWS, Azure); (6) SQL (e.g., Snowflake, Postgres Redshift); (7) version control and peer code review systems; (8) Batch processing frameworks; and (9) cloud computing environment (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure). This position is fully remote and may telecommute from any location in the U.S. Company HQ is located in Birmingham, AL. Various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. may be possible in the future. Limited travel to company’s offices for work reasons may be needed. Salary: $101,837 to $242,974/year.
