Replicant is an ecosystem for crafting conversations, with in-house deep-learning algorithms we’ve built from scratch that allow our Thinking Machines™ to listen, think, and interact with the world. We have also built a suite of tools for conversation design and development, monitoring, testing, continuous learning, and constant improvement.
That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with an ability to dive into backend systems, implement clean communication between various theoretical and applied systems, solve tricky problems, and help innovate on our cutting-edge voice technologies.
Our stack includes TypeScript, JavaScript, Python (3.x), and Pytorch.
What You'll Do
- Work on interesting challenges - not many of the problems we encounter have frameworks or well-defined solutions
- Architect and build the backend infrastructure to train and deploy our models at scale
- Optimize our models to run in our real-time, low latency system
- Create tools to improve and analyze our models' performance
- Implement and optimize cutting-edge deep learning models
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of proven professional experience as a Software Developer
- Excellent communication skills and a vivid imagination
- A keen eye for data flow and building understandable, testable systems
- Independent thinking and passion to solve complex problems
- Interest in exploring the nuance and aesthetic of conversations
- Demonstrated project execution in at least two of the following areas:
- Natural Language Understanding
- Speech to Text and/or Text to Speech
- Development of streaming systems for audio, video, etc.
- Deep Learning model optimization for CPU or GPU (eg. quantization)
- Low-level programming languages (C, C++, Rust, etc.) or CUDA
- Experience with Python & Node/Typescript
