We are looking for a Senior Manager of Analytics to own the analytics for key parts of our platform and contribute to making that vision a reality. You will work with strategic stakeholders to wrangle data, prioritize resources and build scaled structures & processes. You’ll be a partner in the realization of the product roadmap for your area all while delivering analytics value to the company along the way. Your success in using data to enhance our product will impact the lives of thousands of users who come to Upwork to find economic opportunity. Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead Product Analytics roadmap that incorporates larger initiatives for Acquisition & Onboarding (A&O) team & Analytics projects. Be a key influencer into the A&O roadmap.
  • Build and lead a team of Analysts focused on Analytics for acquiring new clients, talent and agencies. Act as a career coach and mentor for the team.
  • Analyze and partner with the Product team to improve the funnel efficiency.
  • Build an analytics infrastructure roadmap and execute on it to improve analytics efficiency while building new capability around testing and UX transparency.
  • Communicate roadmap updates to all partners and advise when a change to the direction is needed or when blockers impede progress.
  • Drive visibility into the operational performance of the product funnel by building and maintaining dashboards, drive self serve and act as a data evangelist. Drive weekly / monthly processes to communicate performance and advise partners on course correction and prioritization as needed.
  • Provide testing support including testing prioritization, analysis of existing QTs and advising when to stop / continue / roll out / back test. Effectively identify what metric changed while providing hypotheses on why and attempt to gather data on validating hypotheses.
  • Effectively prioritize and drive their time and effort to the highest impactful and productive projects.

Must Haves (Required Skills):

  • Lead a team of Product Analytics with stakeholder management experience at the Director + level
  • SQL (advanced), Looker, Tableau, Optimizely, Amplitude
  • Experience in Product Analytics
  • Strong background and experience in Product Analytics of 8-10 years
  • Experienced in visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau or Power BI

Nice to Haves (Not Required):

  • Experience in Optimizely, Amplitude and other Product Analytics tools
