Introduction:

The Zebra, named a Best Place to Work in Austin four years running, is revolutionizing how connected consumers research and shop for insurance. We intentionally strive to build diverse teams that feel inclusive for all. Our motto is "All Stripes Welcome," and we put that into practice by valuing both traditional and non-conventional backgrounds and perspectives. Our Zeebs are passionate about learning, growing, & working together to tackle exciting problems.

We're looking for several marketing analysts (either junior-mid level and/or senior level experience) to help our marketing department drive more strategic marketing decisions. Reporting directly to our Marketing Analytics Manager, you will have clear insight into company direction and strategy. In this pivotal position, you’ll define and track critical metrics, develop measurement and testing strategies, and build out robust dashboards and reports to predict and highlight changes in marketing cost, channel mix, and optimizations that improve marketing performance.

Location:

While we are open to remote work across the contingent US, we are still in the process of establishing our company to support work in all states! We’ve recently made the shift from an in-office organization to a hybrid model and love the flexibility it allows our employees. We are set up to support employees who want to be fully remote, in-office only, and a mix of the two. Please note - we will not be supporting work based out of the following states: CA, MA, NY, NJ.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze and measure experiments and conversion lift tests to improve marketing efficiency, lower cost-per-click, and increase conversions.
  • Partner with Media Channel Managers to measure the impact of branded campaigns on top-line metrics.
  • Collaborate with Media Channel Managers to build testing roadmaps with both new and existing media partners.
  • Provide data support and useful insights to marketing and business collaborators that help drive the business forward.
  • Create new KPIs and add new metrics for our reporting tool to empower the team to be self-sufficient in their data reporting.
  • Take a proactive and self-starter approach to digging into the data to find campaign optimization opportunities for the marketing team to act on.
  • Collaborate with other analysts, the data team, and data science to establish standard methodologies and to investigate cross-departmental opportunities while also reporting on company-wide performance.
  • Support other marketing analysts by catching material changes in our critical metrics, digging into the cause, and providing thorough reports on what is driving those changes.

What We're Looking For:

As we evaluate candidates across all roles, we look for folks who have a strong sense of ownership, great communication and collaboration skills, and a dedication to continuous improvement.

  • 2-5+ years of professional (or comparable) analyst experience - we're hiring both junior/mid level and senior level analysts
  • Experience across performance and brand marketing channels
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Experience with BI platforms (e.g. Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Adobe or Google Analytics)
  • A passion for problem-solving with strong analytical capabilities
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, optimally cope with change, shift gears comfortably, decide and act without having the total picture, and handle risk and uncertainty

Experience that will Impress the Heck Out of Us:

  • B2C (business to consumer) experience
  • Measurement Tools and Marketing Attribution
  • Funnel.io or other workflow process tool optimization
  • Experience or interest in statistics (e.g. experimental design, regression, t-tests, clustering methods, etc.)
  • Programming experience in Python or R

Benefits & Perks:

Inclusive and healthy environments are crafted intentionally. All of our employees can join and participate in (or create your own!) Employee Resource Groups. Here are some other wonderful perks of working here:

  • Competitive Compensation & Stock Option Offering
  • Health, Dental, Vision & Disability Coverages
  • HSA offering + employer contribution

  • Unlimited PTO (paid time off)+ the flexibility to enjoy it
  • Paid Parental Leave Program
  • Wellness perk ($100/month)
  • Pet Adoption Reimbursement ($300/year)
