Who we are & why we’re hiring

Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we're on a journey to becoming a globally antiracist company that supports diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the job

This position is needed to drive our marketing optimization forward and serve as the “CFO-like” trusted advisor to our CMO to better understand the yield of our investments.  Part business strategy and analysis, part operations and project management, this role is ideal for a transformational leader.  You will have a strong curiosity about critical metrics such as CAC, LTV, cost/lead and pipe/spend as they pertain to planning exercises.  This role will also interface regularly with Go-to-Market leaders and Finance to educate them on our efficiencies across marketing tactics.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Act as the business performance communication bridge between the Analytics team and Go-to-Market leadership organization including our CMO, Demand Generation, Growth Marketing, Product Marketing and Sales leadership
  • Lead the instrumentation and automation of our budget tracking and integration with CRM sources. Identify the tools, analytics and data necessary to bring the ‘efficiency’ vision to life including: predictive models, KPI’s, dashboards and 3rd party tools.
  • Facilitate the experimentation results and share widely by partnering with Analytics and Lifecycle Marketers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear examples of using data actively for measurement, ROI analysis and recommendations
  • Share insights on the day-to-day business by deeply understanding what's driving our KPIs and business dynamics, projecting forward outlooks, developing plans to accelerate performance, and taking action to course-correct when needed.

Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

  • Prior experience with ROI measurements within Marketing Analytics, Finance, or an FP&A role supporting Marketing/Sales
  • General knowledge of SQL or query-based language to build integrations with 1st party data
