About the job

As a part of the Marketing Strategy & Planning team at Twilio Segment, this role will analyze, report, and ultimately improve marketing impact on our revenue funnel. Using a mix of quantitative analysis, customer insight, and business acumen, you will help the marketing team set and achieve meaningful growth goals. You will also partner with stakeholders in finance, revenue operations, and sales to forecast company pipeline and share insight on the drivers of our marketing performance.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Manage and improve the process for how the marketing team sets, tracks, and reports on objectives and key results for executive level review.

  • Lead project based work to improve our marketing reporting and insight capabilities in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders in finance and sales operations. Examples of past projects include (but not limited to) enhanced website analytics, attribution for marketing campaigns impact on product upsells, and conversion visibility at different stages in the funnel.

  • Use data to understand key trends with the market, customers, pipeline and our revenue funnel. Use your superior communication skills to share your insight across various stakeholders in different functions. Examples include (but not limited to) factors impacting conversion rates, trends in region or revenue band, and effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

  • Diagnose areas of improvement in our marketing funnel and gain alignment to your proposed course of action with cross-functional stakeholders. 

  • Partner with finance and marketing leadership to contribute to annual pipeline and revenue modeling for company planning.

  • Streamline and manage the group’s budget setting, tracking, and reconciliation process in partnership with FP&A.

Required:

  • Have 7+ years of work experience in a quantitative role for a high-growth B2B technology business (ex: marketing analytics, FP&A, sales / revenue analytics) or highly quantitative consulting role.

  • Experience preparing metrics and reporting and delivering insight to an executive audience.

  • Proven ability to diagnose and articulate business dynamics that are driving trends in metrics.

  • Resourcefulness to combine data from numerous sources in order to answer key business questions.

  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work while managing multiple projects in a fast paced environment.

  • Can interact with cross-functional leadership with confidence, and articulate business dynamics that reflect an understanding of their function.

  • Excellent written and oral communication with visual presentation skill with the ability to flex approach depending on differing audiences.

  • Experience with modern B2B marketing discipline (lead scoring, account scoring, lead routing, campaign attribution, pipeline measurement, etc)

  • Experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC) with an understanding of reporting and how lead, contact, account, and opportunity objects work together.

Desired:

  • Experience with modern analytics platforms (e.g. Tableau, Looker).

  • Experience with SQL, Python, or other programming languages used in modern analytics

  • MBA

Location 

This role will be based in the United States with remote work an option.

Travel is not expected to be a large part of this role.

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $120,160 - $150,200

  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
