Twitter’s globally distributed, real-time communications network generates trillions of events and petabytes of data per day. As engineers on the Data Platform team, our mission is to build the fastest, most reliable, and largest-scale data infrastructure in the world - able to cope with ever-increasing volumes of data in real time - and then apply them to the company’s most critical and fundamental data problems.
What You'll Do
You will be part of the BI Tools team with end-end ownership of a large infrastructure. You get to design and build various infrastructure features leveraging GCP, Kubernetes etc.
You will help us solve some of our biggest challenges!
Evaluate, and onboard new technologies
Build highly reliable, multi-tenant and secured infrastructure
Build new tools to achieve self-serve analytics for product and business teams
Understand how Twitter’s data is used and “what it all means”
Delight internal customers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or other technical disciplines (MS/Ph.D. is a plus)
5+ years of experience
Experience in building and operating distributed backend systems in Python, Java, or Scala
Strong design and architecture skills.
Strong computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures background
Model of software engineering best practices, including agile development, unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Experience with working on Visualization and/or Notebook tools like Looker, Jupyter is a plus.
