The Systems Team in Claims Technology, part of the Global Retail Market (GRM) organization, is looking for a Software Engineer focused on Data. This person will work with a team of other highly motivated and driven individuals to support the main GRM Claims Systems used daily by our front-line claims teams.
In this role, you’ll be part of an experienced agile squad of other engineers with diverse skillsets (AWS, Data, Software) focused on stability, problem solving and troubleshooting our core Claims Systems. With focuses on modernization, movement to the cloud and enhanced capabilities, it’s an exciting time to join the team. The team is looking for someone to help begin driving a new perspective and ultimately new support model across two different claims platforms focused on different areas of our claims business. This will be a welcomed new lens that will help support a ONE team mindset and drive the future of the department.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Work in an agile environment focused on transparency and open communication
- Collaborate closely with other engineers, solutions engineers and other teams in the department to deliver complex solutions
- Use your technical knowledge to analyze system problems and design and implement effective solutions
- Contribute to the development and growth of the team and work to broaden their perspective across multiple systems
- Help to drive and define a multi-system view of claims support
- Participate in a support rotation to include off hours as needed
- Be a team player, willing to learn and grow their skillset within a team of seasoned engineers
- Be willing to think differently, ask questions, challenge the status quo, learn, and innovate
